Yolanda: From Big Brother Mzansi to the Global Stage—Living Her Dream in the Entertainment Industry
Yolanda, born Eulenda Monyai, is turning her lifelong dreams into reality and has no intention of waking up from them. The 32-year-old media personality has been making remarkable strides in her career, solidifying her presence in the entertainment industry.
Yolanda first gained public recognition through her appearance on Big Brother Mzansi, but her ambitions extend far beyond reality TV. Recently, she had the opportunity to host American rap mogul Rick Ross on her podcast—a career milestone that has sparked new aspirations.
Following this incredible experience, Yolanda revealed that she is exploring a career in music. She shared with Daily Sun that she is set to feature in the intro of Rick Ross’ upcoming album.
“I’ll be using some of the sounds and punchlines I said while in the Big Brother house,” she said.
While a career in music wasn’t originally part of her plan, Yolanda has always had a deep passion for singing.
“Even during my time in the Big Brother house, I would sing all the time—probably annoying my housemates in the process. But music is something I truly love,” she added.
Before stepping into the limelight, Yolanda worked as a financial advisor. However, she made a bold move by quitting her job to pursue her dream on Big Brother Mzansi. Although her eviction could have been a setback, she refused to let it define her journey.
She expressed immense gratitude for the exposure the reality show provided, even though post-eviction, she faced moments of self-doubt and discouragement.
“When I left the house, I felt a bit demotivated. But listening to motivational talks from icons like Denzel Washington and Viola Davis really helped me regain my confidence,” she said.
One particular life lesson stood out for her:
“In life, you don’t lose; you learn. That philosophy changed my perspective, and I embraced it. Mistakes are just lessons, and I’m using every experience to grow,” she emphasized.
With her career momentum picking up, Yolanda is embracing a global vision. She has learned the power of manifestation and believes in speaking success into existence.
“From this point forward, I’m taking my career to a global level. Meeting Rick Ross made me realize that even the biggest stars are just human beings like us. It’s all about believing in yourself and seizing opportunities,” she concluded.
